This is Mark Cotter, Field Director for Earthwatch's Marine Mammals of Monterey Bay Expeditions. Mark's research specialty is the bottlenose dolphin. Over the many years he has worked with Dr. Maldini, Mark has come to identify many of the local dolphins by their individual markings and movements in the water. His detailed analysis of dolphin photos allow him and Dr. Maldini to track dolphin patterns over time. His recent tour of Monterey Bay's dolphins, in Earthwatch's Research Boat was a remarkable experience for our entire team.
